One great offsite doesn’t scale.
Most team development depends on whoever happens to be in the room. Each external facilitator brings a different model, so a team in one region learns one vocabulary for trust and conflict while a team down the hall learns another. The energy fades by the next quarter, and nobody can say what was agreed.
Foundational Teaming gives the whole organization one system: the same four modules, in the same sequence, ending in the same three written contracts. Certifying your own trainers means you can run it wherever you need it, as often as you need it — without rebuilding content or re-briefing outside facilitators each time.
Every team signs the same structure, in its own words. That is what lets a global organization compare, coach and reinforce teams consistently.
The contract clauses are fixed. The content is generated by the team.A complete team system, not a menu of exercises.
Four modules delivered across two days in a fixed sequence, each building on the last, with Team DNA connecting them. The same path your leaders see on the main site — now delivered by your own people.
Trust-Based Cohesion
Builds psychological safety using the Reina Three C's of Trust and a team trust diagnostic.
Clarity Through Communication
Surfaces communication triggers and sets the norms that reduce friction and rework.
Collaborating for Success
Turns conflict into productive dialogue through conflict styles, UAA™ and SBIA feedback.
Managing Change
Equips the team to move through change with the 3 A's — Acceptance, Assimilation, Agency.
Team DNA
Uses each member's WHOM Character Signature™ to map the team's collective strengths.
Three signed contracts. Fifteen fixed commitments.
The workshop closes with each team writing and signing its own contracts against a fixed set of fifteen commitments. A Leader Reinforcement Guide gives the team’s leader a structured way to keep those commitments alive in the weeks that follow — so the work continues after the trainer leaves the room.
Your people, our standard.
Internal trainers know your culture, your leaders and your history. Certification gives them a system that holds its shape no matter who delivers it.
One language across the organization
Every team, in every region, learns the same frameworks and signs the same contract structure. Leaders moving between teams find the same commitments waiting for them.
A cost that falls with every team
You invest once in your trainers' certification and license. After that, each additional team workshop is delivered by your own people rather than bought in.
Trainers who already know the room
Certified trainers adapt examples to your industry, your strategy and your current priorities — inside a structure they are licensed not to change.
Reinforcement built into the system
Because trainers stay inside the organization, they can support leaders after the workshop and keep the contracts in active use rather than in a drawer.
From nomination to first delivery.
A private cohort, built around your organization and run to the same standard as every Foundational Teaming certification.
Scope and nominateBefore the cohort
We agree cohort size, license scope and the teams you plan to reach. You nominate up to twelve trainers, and we help you choose people with the facilitation range the system needs.
Readiness pre-work2–3 weeks out
Each trainer completes a facilitator readiness diagnostic covering stamina, room craft, technology comfort and framework familiarity, plus the WHOM Character Signature™ assessment.
Two-day certification immersiveAt your site
Trainers experience the full system, learn the frameworks behind each module, and practise teaching every module with live feedback from the system's creator.
Assessment and licensingDuring and after
Trainers are assessed on a practice teach and a written exam. Those who meet the standard are certified; those who don't receive a remediation path. Your organization receives the enterprise license and the full delivery kit.
First delivery and ongoing supportMonths 1–12
Optional co-facilitation of your first team workshops, then ongoing access to updated materials and the practitioner community for the life of the license.
Everything your trainers need to deliver from day one.
No content creation and no starting from scratch. Materials can carry your organization’s brand alongside the required attribution.
Licensed workshop decks
The full Day 1 and Day 2 decks, ready to co-brand with your corporate template.
Facilitation guide
A run-of-show for both days, with timings, transitions and facilitator notes.
Participant workbook
The frameworks and the three contracts in one workbook for every participant.
Seven self-assessments
Ego, Communication Triggers, Feedback, Better Together, Inner State, the 3 A's of Change and VUCA.
Polls and activities
The in-room polls, conflict styles game, and structures that surface what the team really thinks.
Leader Reinforcement Guide
How the team's leader keeps the contracts in use after the workshop ends.
Corporate certification and practitioner certification are different licenses.
If you are an independent consultant or coach delivering to your own clients, the open practitioner certification is the right route. If you are certifying employees to serve your own organization, this is.
| Corporate certification | Practitioner certification | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it's for | L&D, HR and OD teams certifying employees | Independent consultants, coaches and boutique firms |
| License holder | Your organization | The individual practitioner |
| Delivered to | Your organization's own teams | The practitioner's own clients |
| Cohort | Private — your trainers only | Open — mixed practitioners |
| Location | At your site, or at ours | Scheduled open cohorts |
| Branding | Co-branded with your corporate identity | Practitioner's own brand |
| Investment | $5,000 per trainer | $5,000 per person |
Certification is earned, not attended.
Your leaders will judge the system by the weakest workshop they sit through. The assessment exists so that never happens.
- ✓Practice teach. Every trainer teaches a live segment and is scored against a published rubric.
- ✓Written exam. Trainers demonstrate they can explain each framework, its source and its place in the sequence.
- ✓Remediation, not rubber stamps. Trainers who aren't ready yet get a clear path to certification rather than a pass.
- ✓Current materials. License holders receive every update and new release for the life of the license.
Your certified trainers may

- Co-brand materials with your corporate identity
- Adapt examples to your industry and priorities
- Co-facilitate with other certified trainers
They may not
- Deliver to clients outside your organization
- Certify or train other facilitators
- Reorder the four-module sequence
- Record it or deliver it self-paced

Foundational Teaming integrates proven models with proprietary tools. Your trainers learn the source of every one — which is exactly what a sophisticated audience expects.
Built by a leader who has run the teams it’s for.
Omar L. Harris designed Foundational Teaming after two decades leading and transforming teams in pharmaceutical executive leadership across four continents. He is the founder of Intent Consulting and the bestselling, award-winning author of seven leadership books, including The Servant Leader’s Manifesto and Grow With W.H.O.M.
Every private cohort is led by Omar, so your trainers learn the system from the person who set its standard.
What L&D leaders usually ask.
Who should we nominate as trainers?
People who already facilitate groups with confidence — L&D partners, HRBPs, OD specialists or experienced people leaders. The two-day workshop is demanding to deliver, so stamina and room craft matter as much as subject knowledge. The readiness pre-work helps you confirm your choices before the cohort.
How many trainers can we certify?
Private cohorts take up to twelve trainers, which keeps practice teaching and feedback individual. Larger organizations can run additional cohorts as the program expands.
Can we put our own branding on the materials?
Yes. Decks and workbooks can be co-branded with your corporate template. The Foundational Teaming™ attribution line stays on every deck and workbook, and the third-party frameworks keep their credits.
Can we change the content to fit our culture?
Trainers can adapt examples, stories and case material to your industry and priorities. The four-module sequence, the frameworks and the contract clauses stay fixed — that consistency is what makes the system work across teams.
Can trainers deliver it virtually or self-paced?
The system is built for live delivery with the team together. Recording it or turning it into self-paced content isn't licensed. Talk to us about your delivery context and we'll tell you what works.
How big can each team workshop be?
Certified trainers deliver to intact teams of up to 25 participants per workshop.
What does it cost?
$5,000 per trainer. That covers the two-day certification immersive, readiness pre-work, assessment, certification and license, and the full delivery kit. A full cohort of twelve is $60,000. Co-facilitation support on your first deliveries is quoted separately if you'd like it.
